ENRICHING AND EDUCATIONAL
The development of rhythmic expression and response is an essential first step to musical intuition and development. Children come in knowing innately how to bang on objects and leave knowing how to organize their impulses into musical patterns with tunes to enjoy at home together. Learning to listen carefully, count accurately, and repeat back with physical movements helps a child in so many areas of their little lives. The formation of solid pre-reading skills and cognitive development are greatly enhanced with early music education.
SMILES AND FUN
Children enjoy cooperative activities with instrument and parachute time. Both activities give children needed communal skills such as sharing and taking turns in an exciting, interactive environment with good oversight and instruction. NewSong Pre-K Classes are a great opportunity for parent/teacher cooperation in fostering these developmental skills both in the class and at home. These skills are imperative for children entering Pre-K schooling or Kindergarten. What better place to learn them than in a fun and enriching music class with friends and family?
